This is a fully guided 5 day hunt with 2 guides, meals, and lodging for $3750. (Normally $4750)
Hunting will be in Eastern Utah, clients can fly into the Grand Junction Colorado airport and we would be happy to pick you up.
Typical day of hunting will depend on the snow/dirt conditions, normally we will start by cutting for tracks on roads with snow or that we fluffed and dragged smooth the day before. Afternoons are spent riding mules into country that cannot be accessed by motor vehicles. If horses are not your thing we can easily arrange it so we hunt an area where they will not be needed.
***We also have an option for a traditional horse hunt where we ride a 3-4 day loop in a very large roadless area with a high cat population. We will take our riding mounts plus two pack mules with a basic spike camp including waterproof bed rolls and western camp food as we hunt our way across the area. This is some of the most amazing country the west has to offer. Aside from great cat hunting, clients can expect to see free roaming buffalo, wild mustangs, Indian pictograph and a lot of deer and elk.
Success on our spring hunts is 75% on mature cats.
You're welcome to bring your own horses on this hunt if you would like or we are happy to provide you with one of our own.
We are a full time outfitting company licensed in Western Colorado & Eastern Utah. Our hunts are not contracted out, you will be hunting with the outfitter directly. We hunt our hounds 7 months out of the year and have successfully proven our success in all weather conditions. We are happy to provide you a list of references.
