Could be a "Coydog" Coyote crossed with German Shepherd is what His coloring looks like, the Big Ears could be just a Pup or part Shepherd? have seen a few Black Coyotes....

His tail looks like a fox tail. Looks to me like a fox messed around with 'Yote.

He'd sure make a nice trophy. I've been trying to nab this jet black squirrel that hides well in the old oaks.
One shot is all it should take.

Melanistic traits. Haven't seen one but pics before. I'd love to kill an all black one and have a full body mount done.

I saw an all black one this weekend in Arkansas but had a big buck working my way so i did not shoot it. Unfortunately the deer never presented an opportunity to shoot so i did not get it. I wish i would have shot the yote!

I shot one almost solid black a couple of years ago. The fur didn't appear to be real thick or would have had it tanned for a hat or rug to hang on the wall. Took it while in the deer stand while the weather still a bit warm.

We have seen several on a lease in Upshur county. Talked to Byron South one day at the local gun shop and he said there were several in the area that carried the melanistic gene. Had a friend shoot a solid black with a .17 but we never found him. Waste.
