Congratulations!!!!  very cool People go 10-15 years without getting a band.. I've only been waterfowl hunting 7-8 years now I guess but I've killed a lot of ducks and been on several 5 man limit hunts and I've never seen a band. Then this guy that I used to work with gets a banded pintail on his second hunt ever...

Sorry I was out of town duck hunting in Aransas Pass with Captain Mack of Mack's Guide Service. Great guide if you are looking to do some gulf coast duck hunting. Here is the info on from the band. From where I got the bird it traveled almost 1900 miles. That's one hell of a road trip.

I have been duck hunting for 30 years and have never shot a banded duck. I shot a banded pigeon once while dove hunting, but it turned out to be a homing pigeon.

My very first drake mallard was banded. Needless to say I thought I would shoot bands all the time. Not so much.
