Looking to get one for my new pup Tara. 5mm. Not sure I need the handle to get my dog out of the water into the boat, its rare I need to do that, and when I do, pretty easy to get her in the boat. Looks like most have the handle, which is hole in the vest? I would think no handles/holes would be warmer. http://www.gundogsupply.com/protective-and-neoprene-dog-vests.html

No clue, if anything, I'd be shooting a PM asking you.
But makes sense the no handle style would be warmer.

Avery boaters parka, had one for 7 years and still going, ordered another one this year and it's still the same exact vest as the old one. Stay away from the other avery vests though. They suck

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

I had a Banded vest that I really liked. It was too big for my current dog so I gave it away. Will buy it again when I need a new one

Just replaced My Avery after several years and went with 5mm Banded vest. It is the best fitting out of the box that I've found. Had to do some armpit trimming but other than that it fits good. And it was $10.00 cheaper than Avery @ MPW.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.
