Northern Fisher county. This pasture burned 2 years ago and killed all the trees, hunting has been awesome ever since.

After you get over the initial shock of a fire, the long-term benefits are GREAT!!! Mother nature knows what she's doing... Congrats again!

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. To those that haven't got one yet, stay after them until the end. This cold and late season is really making them move. Your season can go from famine to feast in a few minutes and one shot...

Great buck and great shooting. What caliber did he use, it would be apropos if it was a .308 at 308 yards.
I have a 300 yard shot at a feeder on my lease and have yet to the pull the trigger on anything there - just because I'm worried I'll screw up the shot (15" drop leaves a lot of room for error) and misidentify the deer. I'm hoping to get some target practice on some hogs in the future.

Dandy, mature deer. Great shooting too. Very kind of you to let him shoot a buck.

Your tag line appears: "Brother in law killed..." on the forum heading, I was prepared for another sad story, glad it wasn't!
