Hey all, Curious what have you found to be the most accurate 22lr ammo? I've got a CZ 452 American, and am wanting to try some new rounds down the pipe.

The most accurate is the top of the line Eley or Lapua, which approaches $1.00/round.
Lapua SK Standard Plus or Eley Club are a good combination of price and quality. Should run about $0.12 - $0.14/round.
The SK Standard Plus is coated in a greasy lubricant, but works well.

Adding to Jeff's list... SK Match and Aquila Match 40gr Solids is what I've been running in my CZ PT for when it counts.
I found 3 cases of Blazer I had squirreled away from the daughters 4H rifle days. While the ES/SDs are not quite as good as the above, it works well for everyday use.
Grab a box of assorted fodder and see what shines in it.

Found a case price of Elay Club for $107 (1,000 rounds) is that a good price?

Yes, that is a very good price for Eley Club, but make sure to watch the shipping costs. A few vendors such as Bruno's use come on pricing and make their profit on shipping and "handling" costs. As Josh suggests, try a box of a few different types to see which works best in the rifle. Here are a couple of good search engines: https://www.ammograb.com/22-lr/ Click on the brands in the upper right hand box. http://gunbot.net/ammo/rimfire/22lr/ Sort by brand.

CCI's SGB (Small Game Bullet) has worked well in every 22LR I've ever owned; and I've owned a lot more than my wife thinks I have. . .

Some rifles really like CCI Standard Velocity. Some, not so much.
Different rifles seem to have different appetites. I had a Remington 541-T that shot American Eagle hollow points really well, other of my rimfire rifles wouldn't shoot it like the 514 did.
I'd suggest trying Federal Auto Match, Remington Subsonic, SK Rifle Match, CCI Standard Velocity, Wolf Match Target, and any other moderately priced ammo. The lower priced Eley ammo can be very good also. There are many others to try...the more, the better.
If you want to shoot the really expensive stuff, I'm sure all of it is good but your rifle is likely to express preferences, and some of it might disappoint. I've never fired a one-dollar rimfire round and don't intend to do so.
One thing to be aware of when testing rimfire ammo: the lube that's on rimfire bullets can have very pronounced effects on accuracy. As an example, the Wolf rimfire ammo has very slick lube that will coat your bore after several rounds are fired. If you fire twenty or thirty of them and then start firing cheap promotional brands (Winchester Wildcat, for instance), they are likely to shoot surprisingly well for six or eight shots...and then return to the expected humdrum, mediocre accuracy you would expect based on your experience. What I'm saying is, if you're going to test several different rounds on the same day, fire at least five rounds of ammo after a selection change to season the bore. Otherwise your results can be very misleading.

RR, Wolf and Lapua SK are made in the same plant, and seem to shoot the same in the times I've tried them side by side. http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2008...r-same-quality/The SK Standard Plus will shoot 1" - 1.5" 10 shot groups at 100 meters from my Kidd and runs about $500/5,000 round case. (The rifle and ammo probably actually shoot groups half that size, but the driver nut comes loose and wind is a real challenge.) The SK Rifle Match runs about $700/5,000 round case. I am not proficient enough with a 22lr to wring out the difference between the Standard+ and the Match, at least for the practice purposes for which I use a 22lr. For an actual match, then maybe the Match is worth the extra charge.

Yeah, I know it's all made in the same place but I'm not sure if the loadings are the same. I think Wolf Match Target = SK Magazine Rifle or Standard Plus and Wolf Match Extra = SK Rifle Match, but I'm not sure at all about that. It's all pretty damn good ammo, though.
An MOA 10-shot rimfire group is pretty danged outstanding!

Lapua Midas has always shot good, might try Tenex and R50 as well, both are top notch. The most accurate is the top of the line Eley or Lapua, which approaches $1.00/round. I don't think it has gotten quite that bad yet, probably .40 rd for match stuff. $50 box is robbery....

My Annie would put Wolf Match into one hole at 50 yards. Love that stuff, but haven't been able to find it locally anymore (used to get it at Academy).

I’ve been stocking accurate 22lr for a few years now. I’ve got Wolf MT and ME, Eley, CCI Green Tag and Standard. My suppressed 10/22 started shooting Federal Automatch after the supp went on so I also have many boxes of that. I stock all same lot also.
I kinda over did it and have way more than I need, so I quit buying. Set for life.

This thread just cost me about $500. I've got a CZ452 and building a target 10/22 and want to find what ammo they like best. Holy cow there are a lot of target varieties.

I think more correctly Lapua owns SK Jagd, and SK makes the Wolf ammo. I'm about 99% sure the Laupa ammo is made in a different factory than the SK and Wolf.
Although I've been out of the precision rimfire game for a couple of years. But in my daughters guns the Wolf and SK shot pretty well, it's what they used for general practice, the absolute best shooting was the Lapua Midas. Many other guns that kids in our club used preferred Eley either the Red or Black.

SK Match was best for my Anschutz. Tried all the Fancy Eley, Tenex, Lapua etc.
Remember each batch of the same ammo may shoot differently.
