I just received two Higdon Pulsator XS decoys. The batteries are built in to the decoy. Super easy to set up. Testing them out this weekend. I'll let you know! I've got the older one and it was ok but it was great if your focus was on splashing. I think the new one will have better decoy movement and water movement.

I've been making my own swimmers, feeders and fliers for years. Most are powered by bilge pumps and 12v batteries and work pretty good. I usually end up spending 50-100 on each one depending on how complicated they are. If you have a few tools and are handy, you can save a few bucks by building vs buying.

I think they did awesome. The birds really honed in on them. I am probably going to order two more for next season and run a spread of 4 Pulsators and a dozen expensive decoys. I might go with a dozen flocked pintails and 4 Pulsators. I think this would be a great late season spread.
