Im looking for some opinions on what scope to put on my new M5 308 from Aero Precision. Ive narrowed it down to either the Bushnell LRTS 3-12x44 or the Burris XTR II 2-10x42. And before its said Im not looking at the Nighforce SHV cause I dont want a 50mm objective really. Im leaning more towards the Burris as its almost 1/2 a pound lighter but I dont have any experience with either of these brands or scopes really.

Given that it appears the Burris is both cheaper and lighter, I'd probably lean that direction. The only experience I've had with the XTR was the larger mags, but if the 2-10 is like the 4-20 and 5-25 you should be happy. I have a Bushnell 6-24x50 on my Tikka and really like it but it's a different model than the one you're looking at.

Burris and Bushnell both build some great scopes.
No doubt you'll get better customer service from Burris, though. If, in the small chance there is a problem.
I would put glass equal, tracking equal, more toughness in the Burris.

XTR is made in the Philippines I believe. Same as many other $600-$1200 tactical scopes.
I don't know much about that particular Bushnell model. I'd venture to glass is probably roughly equal and the Burris will have slightly better eye relief and eyebox.
