I have a VX-6, my hunting partner has both and swears he can't tell the difference.

That didn't take long. I'm not loyal to any of them, shop about 3-4 different sources for the best deal. Midway USA surprises me every now and then with a great deal. This deal on the VX-5 HD is hands down best deal I ever got on a scope that I had on my radar.

Yep, I own one of the VX-5HD's and two of the VX-6HD's and would have bought another, but guess I missed it, dangit!

The price of the Vx-5HD is about 33% less than the the VX-6. IS it really that much less of a scope? My VX-6 is worth the money. l Yep, I own one of the VX-5HD's and two of the VX-6HD's and would have bought another, but guess I missed it, dangit!

Only a couple advantages of the VX-6HD over the VX-5HD....glass is supposed to be the same.... 1. 6HD has both alumina flip back covers included (about $100 extra if you want to buy for the 5HD) 2. 6HD has the switchview lever included 3. Obviously, the mag difference 4. Zero-lock turret adjustment on windage 5. Electronic Level Feature That's it. My last one I just bought a 5HD and then added the alumina covers. I wish I had a switchview but the other stuff I was fine without, the 5HD is probably the better value if you don't need the extra magnification.

It's gone now....guess it didn't last long. They still have the VX-5HD duplex reticle at that price. $799 and then take 10% off with a coupon code.
