Location doesnt matter i would be willing to go anywhere that has good number of bears this will be my first trip for bear so any advice and direction is much appreciated

If you want to hunt Canada check out Spirit Creek Outfitters, I was told that they take more big bears in the spring hunt. hunts are over bait. I saw my first bear within 15 minutes of being dropped off and continued to see bear everyday I hunted.

If you think about Montana, I would consider Montana Mountain / Elk Creek Outfitting (Heron, MT). They operate in the far west of the state. They have some beautiful color phases of black bears out there. I have hunted elk and deer with them before. Some of the references I spoke with sang the praises of their bear hunts. Brad is a hell of a guide, and the whole operation is top-notch. I'll be making it back out there for bear at some point.
