Is anyone really making them anymore. i know Ruger had some offerings but really haven't seen them anywhere. IIRC when they were first introduced they were pretty popular. How's ammo selection?????

Seems like a revolver chambering that never really took hold.
38 special is already less recoil and most of the power of a 357, with a bigger hole than a 327. I just don't see the need for it IMHO.

Only seen one and my uncle had it. Said it was a very nice round but just didn't take off in popularity.

I have no experience with one but the ballistic's tell me it's perfect for a J frame style revolver offering 6 shots instead of 5. With a 100 grain round at 1,665 fps and 640 ft-lbs from a 5.5 inch barrel I suspect it will still deliver over 450 ft-lbs from a 2 1/2.

Seeing Ruger SP101 and LCR/LCRx in this caliber and Henry Bigboy's. can also shoot .32 mags thru them . ammo's available so that's a plus!

Seems like a neat round. I wonder if it's as vicious a noisemaker as the .30 Carbine!

I do not think it is as loud as a 30 carbine revolver. A coworker has one of the Rugers and likes it. I haven't shot it but he said it is noticeable less recoil than his same model gun in 357 with recoil about like that gun with 38spcl +P.
Ammo I see it on the shelf at Cabela's most of the time, you can also use 32 H&R mag for lower recoil or make it a powderpuff for recoil with 32 S&W ammo.

But really fun to shoot out of a handgun at dusk! Hand loads designed around 7 1/2 inch barrels will make a big difference. I've got some 85 grain loads that are running close to 2000 fps from a 7 1/2 inch barrel that leave little flash. Most shoot factory ammo designed around a much longer barrel and allot of the powder gets blown out the barrel.

OK! thank you, thought i was going to have find the slot to put money. lol have been thinking about the ruger. You'll be hard pressed to find a finer hunting hand gun better than the Ruger Blackhawk, I have several. I recommend keeping the factory grips or something similar that are nice and smooth, stay away from rubber. The pistol needs to roll in your hands during recoil. Even the Beasly style grips tend to send more recoil into the hands. Keep it stock and let it roll, even full house 44 mags and 45 long colts are comfortable to shoot.

From the Henry lever action forum I used to go to they make this round sound awesome
Not sure if I'd call you a machine, but you are definitely a tool.

I had a blackhawk 44m with if remember it was a 10inch barrel. I believe they were 10 1/2, used the same pistol in Silhouette matches out to 200 yards and offhand matches out to 100 yards. Redneck trigger job and you were good to go.

Never used one but seems like all the things I heard were very positive on the round. It had a big marketing intro back when it came out. Was kinda surprised it never gained much traction.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

I have a 3" SP101. Love it. Great Round. Wish Speer Gold Dot 115 gr was still available for it. If you would use a 9mm, you shouldn't have any issue with a .327 mag. Can also shoot 32 H&R mags, 32 S&W Long, 32 shorts and with moon clips can shoot 32 ACP. If they offered it in a lever action rifle, I'd buy the first one I could get my hands on.

Seems like a neat round. I wonder if it's as vicious a noisemaker as the .30 Carbine! I had the displeasure of shoot one ONE time. It was in a Taurus J frame something or other. The recoil was substantial, the report was ear splitting. If I never get the opportunity to shoot another, I will be just fine with it.
