When reading and trying to post here I keep getting this "cant open this page" and cant get back here for several minutes and only to happen again and again. It's only when I am at home using my wifi so I think its a problem with this site and my modem.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? It's frustrating for sure.

The above took me 4 tries before I was able to post it. This site and another Texas forum are the only ones that do this.

Most likely your WiFi.

This can be many things, so let�s start with what works

What device are you using when it works?

Are you using WiFi or cell data ?

What browser are you using, safari, chrome?


At home, what device are you using to access the THF? Same as above or different?

This is my 3rd attempt on replying, it's getting old

different laptops, Iphone, ipads, desktop all going through the same router so the same wifi. Maybe a setting I can change?

Sounds like something on your router is causing you issues. Do you have any restrictions, blocked sites, net nanny etc installed?

Have you tried to reset your modem?

This happens occasionally at home using the laptop and/or handheld. In my case, both are related to spotty wifi.

I thought was the wifi and called my provider and explained the problem. They suggested that I get a new router since I upgraded to fiber optic earlier in the year. I did and while it helped with the frequency I still have the problem of getting the "can't open this page" thing

Try deleting your home wifi profile, then reconnect.
