OK so I bought a 2 million candle power spotlight from acadamy and it tells me that the max it will light is 12 minutes and then warns me to not turn it on while charging. TCH I thought we had yours on longer than that... So you cant charge the thing while its on? Hows a man supposed to get a yote like that?

get one that plugs into a cig lighter

Yeah that is the one I got....well it recharges from the cigerette lighter... Is there one that runs only off that?

I have some portable lights and seldom use them anymore. They too only lasted 10-15 min. I carry a 500,000 cp. that I added an extension cord to and clips at the ends, to clip on a battery. The battery I use is a lawn mower battery that I bought for under $30 and in easy to carry. I get hours of use with this setup. It is the only way to go if you want to get out at night on foot and make more that one call. I also use it calling out of the back of the truck. I don't have to worry about running down the truck battery and I have plenty of cord. Only time I use a portable is when we go to retrieve the animal. (sometimes a follow up shot is needed and a flash light is no good at long range)
Portables are made for convenience and short term use.

Yes, that Brinkman is a really nice light. I have one too, oh wait...........it's Ken's . But it is a great light for the money. Guess I should buy my own.

I have a Brinkman, 400,000 candle, with a very long extension cord and the red lense. I also have a Garrity light, rechargeable with a cig lighter. This thing is awesome, holds a charge for a longgggggggggggg time. I have yet to find lenses for it though, haven't really looked. I bought it dirt cheap a wally world, couple yrs ago. Very stong light, I wanna say 1 million candle power maybe??? No cords to get tangled up with.

It also unclips from your scope, easily, and can then be used to track bloodtrails, etc.

I carry 3 batteries total, but use one at a time of course.
12v 7Ah Gel cells.

a $15 Backpack from a sporting goods store is the best way to carry the battery.

I modified my light's battery cable and soldered on Tamiya (RC Car) connectors. Each battery has a connector. I can unplug the cord at the light also.

It's Serious Light.
And not cheap. but a dozen dead yotes from now, you wont care

Go with the Tufflight if you are serious. If you will be hunting with a good dude, get a hand held one. If not, go with the one Timbertoes recommends. They last a long time and are good.
