 My New PB Buck!!!

I was fortunate enough to take this bruiser and my new personal best buck this Saturday up at our place in NE Texas. The .25-06 that has served me well since 1995 did the trick once again! He measured 19 inches inside spread with 12 points (5x7). I shot him with only 5 minutes of LST left while he was working over a tree limb above a scrape. That big bright supermoon really had the bucks moving. After I shot him, he slammed into the fence, got caught up against a post in the barbed wire where he fell and partially broke off his G6 on the left side. The taxidermist said he can fix that anyway. Check out the black all the way down his tarsal. This was a good, mature, and rutted up buck! Another cool thing is the "acorn" as we call them on his right side G3 is a genetic trait that has persisted for many years in the genetics of the herd. My former personal biggest buck taken in 1996 had two "acorns". I can't wait to see them, granddaddy and great grandson to the 16th, on the wall side by side.  ...fence stopped him  ...rutted up  ...and the grandaddy
