Hi everybody. I received an ICOTEC gc350 programmable electronic call set up from someone a couple of years ago and am looking to use it now. I would ask the person how to use it but had to end our friendship due to him constantly lying and talking a bunch of junk about our friends behind their back. He also lied about being a Marine and that was the final straw! Anyways I am looking to learn how to make mp3 & wav files so I can download my own calls in to the electronic calling system. I am waiting to go in for a corrective back surgery and just got the heads up that I will be going in for surgery within the next 2 weeks. So since the deer have been feeding on acorns so much this year and not hitting the feeder as much now, I want to use the ICOTEC gc350 with my Doe Decoy to get a buck to come in so I can get something in the freezer.
I listened to the call files on ICOTEC’S sound library and MFK’S library and really didn’t like their Whitetail calls. So I am looking at downloading some real whitetail calls, changing them to a mp3 or wav file and incorporating them in to the unit. The last time I ever used a call set up, we used a tape player hooked up to a set of external speakers. So electronic calls are new to me. I was wondering if anybody knows a site where I could download real recordings of animal calls from. I am okay with having to pay for them if they sound good. I want to make a longer call sequence before the unit has the 30 second pause between them. What does everybody use for a conversion software to convert files to an mp3 or wav file? What software do you use to record your own homemade calls at home to incorporate in to the unit. I really didn’t like the rattling calls or the Doe Estrus Bleat calls they had recorded.
What decoys work well here in Texas while calling in yotes since we need to get rid of some on my buddies land after deer season and what calls work well for bringing in yotes here in East Texas. When I was friends with the guy, he used the ICOTEC 500 set up for calling in hogs but we never seen anything while he was using it and only got hogs when just hunting over the feeders. Is there a certain go to sound for bringing in hogs other than a feeder going off lol? I really want to get in to using this electronic calling system now so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day everybody and thanks again.

Thank you brianaustintx. I really appreciate all your help on this. I can’t believe that I forgot about this electronic caller till now lol. I don’t get out much during the seasons these days but plan to a lot more after the surgery is over and done with. I can’t wait to get back to being able to live a normal life again!!!! Thanks again for the links.
