Your new 22-250 will work very well. Find the load that will put all the bullets in one, ragged hole and go out and wage war on those yodel dogs!

22-250 is my favorite. No recoil, fast, hits hard. IF you don’t reload try Hornady 55 Vmax.

12 gauge 300 grain SSTs at 120 yards. Shot in the chest exit hole between shoulder blades. She was pooping when I shot her lol.

22-250 seems to be the most popular, load with the 65gr SGK and you will do fine.

The 17 Remington is my favorite. Flat shooting, see the impact, no fur damage, mild report, makes a lightweight carry rig. All good.
One shot is all it should take.

Do you lose a lot of animals? My favorite as well, and have never lost an animal that was hit. First couple coyotes I hit with it still stick out in memory, one 60 yards in the eye, no exit but gray and red matter out the nostrils, ears and eyes. The second one was 297 yards according to the range finder, hit in the gut it flopped down and never even flicked its tail. The rest since have died in about the same bang flop dead style. Now I will say that mine is a fast fro the round, factory ammo clocks 4250fps out of my barrel and have reloads doing the same. Got lucky and its chamber is very near min SAAMI dimension

Do you lose a lot of animals? very seldom. Most of them drop in their tracks like hit by a photon beam. I had a squirrel run 10 ft without any internal organs. They were all sucked out of the tiny exit hole. I saw it in the scope walked over and couldn't believe it.
One shot is all it should take.

Very seldom shoot past 200 yards due to terrain and neighbors and 90 percent of my shots are between 80 and 125 yards so 223 Wylde works great for that and is easy on my shoulder.

My favorite this week is the 22 Creedmoor I guess. I have shot coyotes with 17 MachIV,17 Fireball,17 Remington,17 TAC, 20Tac,204 Ruger,221 Fireball,223Rem,22 DTI,22-250,22 Creedmoor,6x45mm,6mmx6.8SPC, 25 DTI,6mm Creedmoor,243,270 And probaly a few I have forgotten about. Haven’t really thought about it but I guess I have shot the most with a 6x45mm as I am on my second one.

22-250 for sure. I have a Ruger 1 and I use 55 gr. Winchester Ballistic Silvertip and it drives tacks at 300 yards.

I'm kind of a small bore fanatic. Love my .17 Remington, .204 Ruger, .222 Remington, .223 Wylde and .22-250. I guess out of these, which I consider my predator cartridges, my favorite is the .222. I have had a Model 788 Remington since the mid 70s and have smacked many a coyote with it. Having said that, I am really liking the 25-45 Sharps I built last year. Dead nutz accurate with Sierra 70 gr. Blitzkings @ 3000 fps from an 18" barrel AR. I plan on it being my primary calling rifle this year.

I have used the 25 DTI quite a bit on predators with excellent luck. I shoot the 85 gr Nosler BT’s. It’s a 6.8SPC necked to 25 cal with 30 degree shoulder. It pushes 85-90 gr bullets over 3000 from the 18 inch Shilen barrel. One of the best coyote stands I have experienced was while we filmed for a show on the Outdoor Channel I was using that AR and I had only loaded 4 rounds. I was calling and all the coyotes came to my side as we had two shooters. I killed four and when a Bobcat showed at the 17 minute mark ....I was out of ammo. I whispered to the other shooter and he managed to spin and make a great shot. Got all on film which was the hard part.

I seriously considered building the 25 DTI or 25-6.8 when looking for something different. I built two 6.8 SPC rifles so bolts and mags would have been no problem. What it finally boiled down to is the 25-45 Sharps is necked up .223 or 5.56 brass which I had WAY more of than my precious 6.8 brass. I also know quite a few guys that shoot 5.56 ARs that don't reload so I get all their once fired brass.

That 25-45 Sharps sure has appeal. Especially when considering the brass. The older I get, the less I like recoil.

I have had such good luck with the 6x45mm that I never really looked beyond on the .223 case.
