Neck is pretty small and straight, legs look long, body pretty flat and tight looking. I'm going 3.5 and will be a book deer if he walks for a few years

3.5 to me as well. Love the width. Could be a stud in a few years

I was thinking 4.5 but the horns might be altering my judgement.

I'll be the odd man out and say he's plenty mature, 5++

Only thing convincing he's over 3.5 is his gut has a slight sag and its not tucked up into his honch like most 3.5yr olds. But that pencil neck has me wondering.

Wish we had more pics. Just off that one pic I'd say mature 5+ as his stance might be a bit misleading. He's stretched out and that makes his neck look skinny. His gut sags a bit, back is bowed in and not straight and his brisket looks fairly large.

Agree with above, him being stretched out might give him the appearance of a younger buck, but I would put him at 4.5 judging that one pic.

Even with that neck stretched to its limit that deer still looks mature. In a more normal pose I think he would show his older age much better.

Is date correct on the pic as well? Everything points to mature except the neck
