I've had a long, trying , year both personally and financially. Lost my Kansas leases due to the wildfires, marriage woes, truck problems, etc. You know, when it rains it pours kind of a year. I find peace and solitude in a tree stand. Managed to get some family property to hunt on in Montague County. I wasn't very optimistic going from the land of giants to north Texas. I a spent untold hours in a peaceful tree stand so far this year hoping to see a big 12 that I had a few pictures of early, but had since disappeared. I kept after it and God finally shined down on me. Not with the big 12, but with this brute who is equally as awesome. I might get used to this hunting in north Texas!
