So I went out on a limb and bought one, not really knowing what to expect. I was shocked at how well this $350 gun shoots, 22" fluted light profile barrel with 5/8x24 muzzle threads. I have only shot 3 shot groups with it as the barrel heats up real quick, however it has consistently delivered MOA or better groups over the last couple of boxes of Hornady Black 140 BTHP ammo. Bore is a little rough but getting better, but accuracy, decent trigger, and low price make up for it.
This was a spare gun with a specific purpose for me, but I don't think you can go wrong for the price. I have paid much more for rifles that didn't shoot nearly as well.

I've always like the looks of that Mossberg. Glad to hear it shoots well too.

I have one in 22-250 and yes that barrel gets hot quick. It is however dead nuts from 0-300 with a hot load of Varget and 50 grain hornady v max.
Once the barrel heats up, ya might as well quit shooting till it cools way down. (impossible in the summer)
Guy at the range had one in 300 WM. Same deal with the hot barrel.
Once zeroed, it is a good cold bore hunting rifle.
It ain't easy being me.
