I am the most misunderstood person on the entire internet. And I'm 49.

OK I'm 57 going on 58 in January. In my prime I was 6'3/4" and 172.5 LBS playing pickup basketball 2 hours and lifting weights 1 hour 3-5 days a week.Now I am 6' 1/2" approaching 190#s if not more and enjoying knee, hip and lower back pain. But I still do everything I used to do, just a little slower. Tagged along with dad deer and dove hunting at 8 years old and started shooting at 9 years old. Shot a doe and a six point buck my first year hunting. The six point was 325 yards. Lucky shot through both knees!

Went fishing with my grandfather every year since about 6 years old at his country club lake called GumStream in east TX until he passed in 1972. If anyone knows of this lake please touch base. One great memory was when I baited a hook on a rod off the dock and and a worker at the lake put a large catfish on my hook and I thought I had done it all to catch a huge catfish!

Enjoyed hunting with my dad and his partners in Llano for 43 years with the best role models I could hope for! I had to find a new lease in 2012 and landed in Breckenridge. Now I and my son are creating a new legacy. He is a sharp shooter and has 3 bucks over 120 although I only measured one at 125. I shot a very tall 9 point my first year in 2012 but waiting on something bigger than I have ever shot since.

Mainly just prefer to read, but joined so that I could make inquiries in the classifieds.

I'm about 7' tall, covered in hair and quite a bit reclusive as most people never really see me. Living in the woods of N.E. Texas and I always travel the creeks. Most people claim I don't exist, yet here I sit punching buttons on this little cell phone thingy fat fingering all the way. Took me three days just to type this message correcting all the mistakes as to not seem ignernt!

I'm Dayton Hart, 6'4" 390lbs. Married with 2 kids, 5 year old girl and 3 year old boy. Been with me wife for 10 years married for 6 in December. Have family property in Mason and would move down there if I could. Born and raised in Mesquite and still live here now. I have a major problem and that is my addiction to trading and selling guns. I'm a commercial security installer for Protection 1 and have been in the security industry for 7 years. Who's next?

Ok, i’m In. 603Country. Real name is Kirk Hazlip. 6 feet and about 210. Married 49.75 years to the same redhead that stole my heart in college. Graduated in Chemical Engineering and shortly after that signed up for the USMCR. Two daughters and 4 grandkids, ages 22 down to 12 years. Oldest is student body president at La Tech and youngest is a hotshot girl soccer player that scored her first international goal in London last year.

I Grew up in Waterproof, Louisiana and played left tackle both ways for the mighty Tigers. My Dad played college ball and said the Chicago Bears got in touch, but I showed up on the scene and he had to get a real job. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Parents are gone. Grandpa taught me to shoot. He was a rifle and machine gun instructor in WW1, and brother he could shoot. Taught me well, and I was a hair from the range record for recruits at Edson Range when the wind came up. Dang wind. Still a good shot. Still can’t read the wind.

Retired now. Do some reloading and woodworking, pasture mowing, and teach tennis in Groesbeck to the kids. I don’t BBQ. I do a little fishing when the mood strikes.

All in all, it’s been quite a ride. I could tell some stories...but then i’d have to....you know.

I’ll give it a shot and hopefully not too long winded … PMK are my initials, late 50s, 6’3” 270ish, big boned Irish(dad)/German(mom) heritage, 5th generation Texan dating back to ~1842. I married my HS sweetheart 39.4 years ago, 2 grown kids both married, 2 grandsons, one granddaughter, that’s it for now. I was raised in Burnet TX and my parents were old enough to be my grandparents when my brother and I came along in their 40s. They were both raised thru the depression and knew hard times, so passed a lot of those values on to us, very conservative. My dad was an avid outdoorsman, top gunner & chief engineer on a B-24 in the European theatre WWII and could do just about anything he set his mind on. He was the county jobber for Sinclair, later Arco and also Goodyear & Farm Bureau tires with 95% of all the farm/ranch accounts for the entire county, which gave us access to thousands of acres of ranch land year around. He taught me everything about the outdoors, hunting, shooting, tracking, trapping, mechanics and to do my best at whatever I was doing and when something wasn’t fun, change something up to make it fun … that’s how I have lived my personal and professional career also. I grew up hunting pretty much anything and everything around central TX year around, but also value what God has given to us and not to be wasteful. Learned there were three reasons to kill something, going to eat it, it is bothering you/family or you will get something good out of killing it. I killed my first deer shortly before my 5th birthday and have loved the outdoors and hunting my entire life. I am a born again Christian and would be willing to help others find their path to Him if they so desire. I tried to raise my kids with a lot of the same conservative values my parents raised me with and to put your heart into whatever you do. My dad told me when I was getting married, put God first, your wife second, your kids/family third and everything else after that, I know I fall short but that’s what I try to do. Both parents are deceased (2004 & 2012) and were married 69 years when my dad passed.

Professionally, I work in mechanical/aerospace engineering defense contractor, moved into management about 10 years ago, so I just herd cats now keeping everyone engaged and busy here at work while keeping them happy and having fun. Besides hunting, my hobbies/interests include tractors, boating, heavy equipment auctions (buy/sell/trade tractors/trailers/implements/etc.), helping friends develop/manage their properties for better herd population/improvements. I am overly detailed oriented, so I will wrap this up … I enjoy the THF and a lot of the conversations that arise, I typically only chime in when I think I could add value or offer a suggestion, sometimes will joke around if I have gotten to know someone here.

I’m Chris I don’t have anything interesting to say about myself but I do suck at hunting but I go a lot. I also suck at fishing but when I’m not hunting I’m fishing so I probably spend more time in the field than most and kill less. I’m considering cross stitch or crochet as a new hobbie.

I'm Mike, my sister called me Bubba growing up, so my niece and nephew call me Uncle Bubba. I'm 44, grew up in Richardson. I was introduced to camping, fishing and hunting during visits to my Grandmother in Pawhuska,OK. My family still hunts on the same land that we have been since I can remember.

I'm a Christian and enjoy the blessings of God, been married and divorced, and my favorite hunting buddy is my 9 year old boy. He's hell on the squirrels and rabbits, and will be sitting with a deer rifle for the first time this year.

I jumped from career to career early, but 17 years ago, I landed in recreation finance, and have been financing boats and RV's since.
