Would y'all kill a pig from yalls feeder this close to deer season, got a ton of hogs and a new rifle I want to try out, was gonna sit in my stand and take one out, would that affect to deer hunting in a couple of weeks in yalls opinion. Thanks.

We do it all the time. But, not saying you ought to.

I would do it, but I have other stands. These pigs run off the deer anyways, might as well make'em pay.

Yes definitely. Every time we see one and can get a shot it does not get a pass. If you see a pig under the feeder most likely a deer is not going to come me to the feeder while he is there. So double lung him, he runs off and dies and better chance of seeing a deer at the feeder. With the acorns starting to drop don’t think many deer will come to the feeders anyway. In my experience everything would be back to normal the next day unless you drop it under the feeder and just leave it there and not drag it off

I would. When I have pigs staying around for awhile, I notice the deer activity is a lot less.

I have shot a hog under the feeder and had deer come out within 5 minutes and feed and pay the dead hog no mind. I have shot a hog with deer standing 10 feet away eating and the deer didn't run off and fed till I climbed out of the stand. I have also shot a hog early in the morning and not seen a deer for the rest of the sit. Its a crap shoot. If its a few weeks before season I doubt you will have any effect.

Pigs will drive the deer away. Pigs attract more pigs. Deer do not like to be where pigs are. Shoot every pig you can, every chance you have!!!

you better shoot him, it you don't and he comes back when you have deer there, they gone!!! from my experience in the east Texas area the deer won't hang around if pigs are present.

You won't have to worry about it if you put up feeder pens.

Any hog I see at my feeders during deer season, I 'accidently' shoot them a little far back. That way they run off and die elsewhere.

Thank you...thank you very much

If you are worried about scaring the deer off from the sound of the rifle then kill them with a crossbow. I would shoot them on sight at the area I hunt because they chase the deer away from the feeders. We decided to fill the feeders two weeks before opening archery this year and so far we haven't had any hogs coming to the feeders. They seem to have moved on to other people's feeders now. We also haven't gotten any on the game cameras so that's a good thing! We are seeing a lot more bucks on the cameras this year too. We used to have a huge hog problem on the property.
