He's got a pretty long rap sheet, maybe he will add that to it next.
This can't make his Dad too happy though

Just think, that's the best and the brightest there in Alabama. It all goes down hill from there.

Hunting over bait isn't really "hunting" anyways.

Hunting over bait isn't really "hunting" anyways. It is called "waiting". Some of my best naps happen while "waiting".

Hunting over bait isn't really "hunting" anyways. So all the guys in the Midwest that hunt over corn and soybean fields aren't "hunting"? What about alfalfa fields out west? Wheat fields in NTX? Lablab fields in South Texas? Just a corn feeder in areas too dense and too dry to successfully raise food plots isn't hunting, right? https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hunter

I've maintained for years now that we in Texas and many other states don't really "hunt" as much as we practice "herd management". You want to go "hunting", draw an elk tag in a western state and head up into the mountains to chase them around on foot for several days at a time. That's "hunting".

We can simplify this conversation by all involved owning the fact these acts are driven by a desire to kill and eat your quarry. As far as method used to each their own. As long as its legal.

Which brings us back to the topic of this post which is the son of a US Senate candidate trespassing and hunting illegally over bait.

And I would not be surprised if he tried to tell the arresting officer he owned the land. There's a lot of private land in Mississippi and Alabama that owners don't monitor very closely, leaving poachers the opportunity to move in and hunt it without permission. Then someone comes in and leases the place from the landowner only to run into some individual or group that's been trespass hunting it for years. Then the idiots try to bluff those who are leasing the tract that they own it.
I spent much of my youth in Mississippi and saw it happen often. It really gets humorous when one group of poachers tries to bluff another group wanting to poach the same place. It's why many states, including Texas, require hunters to carry written landowner permission when hunting private land not owned by the hunter. Officers don't always enforce it but will if they smell poachers.

Dad has a rap sheet too. Probably makes Daddy proud. Where is the rap sheet on his dad? I did some looking around and couldn't find any rap sheet. He has been removed from his position as judge for defending his right to freedom of religion. He refused to remove a wood carving and a statue he put in his court of the ten commandments. His son appears to be a grown man choosing to break the law on multiple occasions so he deserves whatever he gets. But I wouldn't necessarily let his conduct sway my decision voting for his father if I lived there.

I guarantee you if Indians could have used feeders to kill deer easier they would have done so.

Who is gonna judge a man for bringing a deer back for the tribe to feast on. Who cares how he killed it just be glad you got food. Plus is herding buffalo off a cliff considered hunting? I don't think so but Indians did it.

I don't see whats wrong with hunting by a feeder in a 2 acre high fenced pasture. Especially when there's guarenteed a 220 pt white tail buck in there thats ear tagged.
