Mighty fine there Nontypical. Congratulations.
What was the reaction at the shot. Did he go down quickly or run a ways? It was center of his shoulder and he wasn't sure what happened. He just knew something wasn't right...... luckily the cows didn't spook until he fell over or I'm sure he would have tried to keep up with them. He made a couple small circles over a span of about 20 seconds (seemed like 2 hours) and fell over. It amazes me how tough these dudes are. He soaked up that bullet better than I deal with a gnat! His hanging weight (field dressed, no head, no hide and half his legs) was 505 lbs. The luckiest part about the whole thing is he tipped over in a meadow that we could drive to. It took 5 of us to load him.

Awesome, congrats, neat seeing it done with an iron sight muzzleloader.
Did the bullet pass through? Ive shot several critters with my 54 cal hawkin and its a hoot.
