This was a really neat hunt, lots of fun until we had to drag all the hogs out of the field, LOL. All of the hogs recovered were hit at least twice.

I find long distance night shooting to be very good fun - I'm jealous and will need to watch this video a few more times!

Very nicely done. Shooting small hogs at that distance drives up your average cost per kill.

Thanks! And it was a lot of fun...at least while we were stalking and shooting. The dragging out was not as exciting as it might sound, especially that big old boar. Aside from one piglet we were able to toss over by the back fence, the boar was the shortest drag at a bit over 240 yards and he was probably close to the same mount in lbs.

A cheap two wheel dolly might just make this a bit easier, with a few easy modifications even better!

Didn't you have a truck, Mule, or a 4wd something to drag them with? Ouch! Dragging by hand is no fun at all!!!

Shot one rest scattered, tried ta drag, so gutted ta lighen, hogs came back, dropped second hog... Had ta shoe the others away... dragged both resting inbetween rest... Had back pac at house, ya learn easier ways when ya huntsolo, not much tenderlions for gutting... Buzzards, yotes gotta eat too... They wont let ya leave em were they lay ? As many hogs you take, backstraps, its all i got on last hog, mosketoes& back locks up... Cooler weather can take my time... Why say: finding hogs easy part, work begins getting em out ...

Didn't you have a truck, Mule, or a 4wd something to drag them with? We have all the gear we need, but we don't carry it around all the time (such as game carts) unless we are expecting to use them. The problem here was that the landowner was unexpectedly gone for the evening and all the gates were locked. We just expected to drive in with the truck if we got any hogs. Even so, that did not alleviate us of the responsibility of removing the hogs we kill as per the agreement with the landowner. One or two would not have been so bad. Five was pretty bad, LOL.
