What is the normal price to get a wood stock refinished and the metal reblued? The gun is Weatherby 7 mm mag. Would cerakote be better?

Depends on a lot of variables. Hot blue, rust blue, level and type of metal prep, type of gun. What kind of stock finish, checkering recut, etc...
Quality work cost more.
Stock refinishing with me starts at $400 for an oil finish, checkering recut. Rust bluing and hand polishing the same.
Others can do it cheaper. Bead blast and blue is cheaper. Poly stock finishes are cheaper.

I understand. Getting an excellent purchase price on this Weatherby 7 mag with a nice Leupold scope. $400 would make the price still a good deal. Thanks.

I have a pre 64 Winchester Model 70 and have asked TDK about re-finishing and re-blue it. $800 is a great price. I'm just not sure I want to do it, worried about the value. If I keep the gun and shoot it I might do it. But TDK will be my guy. Not a bad drive to East Texas either.

If you're going to hunt with it, and use it for the rest of the life of the gun, look at my post in this section, "First Rifle makes a comeback". PM me if you're interested in learning more.
