Does anyone else hunt these bottoms? I bought some property this year just north of Edgewood. Have had a few pics of bucks in velvet but mostly does so far. Would love to see some game camera pics or pics of deer killed in the past in this area.

I hunted on river bottom down in South Newton county before. Brought some good size bucks and plenty does out of there. Lots of big hogs on the river too.

I've lived in Edgewood all my life and have always hunted South Texas. Pretty excited to hunt this close to home this year. Just not sure what to expect as far as numbers go.

I appreciate the pics!!! My stuff is in about as deep of cover as you can get. I'm about 600 yards from where mill creek meets the sabine, just south of Ocean lake.

Well maybe you just aren't in the right place yet where the bucks travel. There should be good rubs going on now. Ocean lake is only 4 miles from these guys.

I mean I've had some bach groups come through, and some good looking bucks. It just seems I'll only get a few pics of them then they are gone. All the does are there every morning and evening. I know bucks have their summer patterns that differ from the fall/winter patterns. I was just curious if that was a similar result to what other people are getting in that area. I've also never ran cameras through the summer, so this is a little new to me.
