I found this guy on my trail cam.... Do they just pass through? Stay in the area? Is there a way to attract him back so i can pattern him? I'd love to have him on my mantle! Thanks!

Bobcats will be local residents to your area and aren't apt to travel long distances like their mountain lion cousins. Chances are his is back/around/you just gotta be there to see it. You can try putting out food to attract him, but other critters will come to it first, quite likely. You can use predator calls to help bring him in, like birds or rabbits in distress.

Well I just set a standard drop gate trap: due to what was available to me at this moment - we have Tuna fish and vienna sausages as bait!

I'd wait and try to trap him in the winter months when he has a nice thick coat

Yeah, if you are really after a good mount, that would be the thing to do.

As mentioned above wait until after Thanksgiving this fall. Fur will be better and won't slip.

Nice cat in the hood.
I'm not sure if it would attract that one but I was dumping the litter box jewels out in the back pasture near a creek. I noticed bobcats started marking near and even into the old litter remains. You might try itl they are pretty territorial.
One shot is all it should take.

A live rooster caged at the back of a live trap is very effective on the cats.

This lady traps bobcats for a living. Maybe you could pick up some tips on how she does it.
