i need to get a suppressed .17 or 22 mag where do i start? i have a few neighbors that are 150 yrds away so i dont want to wake them at 2am,but the yotes are wearing my chickens out

.22 is really not that loud, and you aren't going to be doing it more than once a night at most. Otherwise there are plenty of suppressor shops if you are cool waiting, but you may not have many chickens left.

Just shoot them with a .22. It'll kill 'em & ain't too loud anyways.

Don't know how much you know about supressors but a 17 or 22 mag ain't going to be quiet. Going to get a sonic crack with both.

Buy a box of sub-sonic 22LR and use in a rifle. Very quiet, good out to 100 yards, and easy on the neighbors.

.22 caliber pellet guns now have speeds up 1200 feet which is basically a .22 long rifle.

And I heard about a water bottle full of steel wool, taped to the barrel.

Cheaper to buy a Gamo pellet rifle. The Coyote Whisper Fusion model may work for you.

get one of those high powered pellet guns. Seen them shoot hogs with it so why not a yote.

The wait is about 11 months right now but once they finish all the last minute 41p submitions ( a change made in July that mostly effects trust) the time will go back down. They are claiming the atfs goal will be to get approvals back down 90 days or less but will take time to get to that point.
I suggest going the trust route that way you can pass the supressor on and anyone who is on the trust can have access to it. I used Texas lawshield to do mine and highly recommend them any time I make another purchase I call them and they send me a updated copy. If you find a shop like the one I use they do your passport pictures and your fingerprints there. They will send everything off along with a 200 dollar tax stamp and 11 months later you get to pick it up!
