Has anyone ever been Axis Hunting at JCR? Going on a Vendor trip in a few weeks and was very surprised of the fee per inch for anything over 32".

It is kind of like if you stay at a motel 6 or a Marriott. It depends on what you want to pay. When it is hanging on the wall does it matter what it cost?

Isn't the vendor picking up the tab anyway?

I have been there twice where vendors paid. It is a great place all around . I shot a nice 33' axis there, and a pretty nice ten point for the area on a different trip. If you get a chance to bird I would recommend it, its really fun and between the fishing and sporting clay course you will always stay busy. The only con I would think of is that it can get expensive quick but if the vendor is paying your in for a great time.

My taxidermist has a axis he is mounting that was shot there that taped 40".

Yes, 40". You hear about them but they are like Bigfoot everyone claims to see them. It no one ever kills them...this thing is huge
