Birds were henned up pretty badly and not real vocal Saturday morning but finally got on a group that wanted to play and gave a #5 facial to this guy just as the rain started after lunch. Hard hunt and way too much walking and calling for an old fat guy but man happy endings are sooooo much fun.

You know BWho I was thinking about swinging thru Cowtown on my way down to the lease Friday and seeing if you wanted to tag along....but then I remembered all the pictures of strutting gobblers you sent and how you've been scouting them for days and and how you've got all these thermo-nuclear TSS reloads that drop gobblers in their tracks at 100 yards etc. etc. So I said....Naw.

You know it's tough having to take gobbler selfies after all my "friends" backed out because they were afraid of getting caught in the rain this weekend. I know you wouldn't do that so next time I will swing thru Fort Worth and pick you up...even though I'll have to listen to "TCU Baseball" and "Did you see we won the NIT" and blah, blah, Horny Toads, blah blah.
