Too many times I have read on this forum about problems with having your venison processed wrong or it's just flat not any good. I took in 70 lbs of deboned ready to process venison and pork to Praseks Smokehouse in El Campo to have made into jalapeno/cheese smoked sausage. Some how they forgot the jalapeno and cheese. I called them and they looked it up and sure enough, it was supposed to be jalapeno/cheese smoked links. The great part here is they are furnishing the venison and pork and will redo it free of charge. I just need to come pick it up when ready. I felt the need to put this in here and let people know there are good honest processors out there that when they do mess up they correct it. I have all my venison and pork processed there every year and this is the first time ANYTHING has been wrong with my order. 90 miles from my house to their store and I sometimes wonder why I drive that far, but not any more. That's fine and dandy, but
#1, they messed up your order
#2, where did they get the replacement venison?
#3, you already did most of the work, and they STILL messed up your order
But, in their favor,
#1, they admitted the mistake
#2, they're making it right, on their dime, as it should be
#3, with a name like Prasek, I bet the product is outstanding!

Good stuff there. Been getting deer processed there for years.....always pleased. They are a bit pricey seems to me but they've never done me wrong. They make the best jap and cheese summer sausage I've ever had.....JMO
Also awesome steaks and lotsa other meats

#1. They have their own ranch and raise their own deer(red deer) for processing and selling their own venison sausage for sale.
#2. All the venison/pork on the original order was killed by my family and processed by us. That is the only thing I don't like about it being messed up. But they are furnishing the replacements to process it all. They are making it right, so I have no qualms.
#3. Their product really is outstanding!!
