Looking for an affordable pheasant hunt in 2017, probably in Kansas. Need advice and recommendations.

www.pheasantridgehunting.com in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Tell Chris the Bassfishinglawyer from Dallas sent you. Super great guy I've known for 40 years, and a great experience.

Wild birds? You want it guided or just a day lease kind of deal?

I would prefer wild birds, we have access to a quality hunt in Texas with pen raised birds, Stanfield Outfitters in Knox City runs a great hunt. Looking for a place that has a good number of wild birds. Guided would be best, I have one quality GSP but that is it, probably would not be able to go for that many hours.

I am actually in southwest Nebraska as I type this. Second time I have been this year. We do it very affordable. (3 guys, including gas and hotel/food about $300 each) Lots of good CRP public land. This year bird numbers have been great. Today we killed 6 rooster, 6 quail, and 4 prairie chickens. Should of had our pheasant limit, (9) but lost 3 cripples in super thick cover. If you are willing to put in the miles walking you will be successful here. We did 20 miles today. I have hunted southwestern Kansas in the past and does not compare to the numbers in Nebraska.
