Is it possible for your arm span-reach to shrink over the course of a few years?? I'm in the process of buying a new bow and measured my draw length here at home by measuring finger tip to finger tip then dividing by 2.5.... I'm constantly getting 28.5 inches and I swear I was at LEAST 30" 7-8 years ago! I haven't shrunk in high th... am I crazy? Lol

The arm span method will get you close. Anchor point, d loop length, release type and other factors will influence draw length. That said, yes, old folks shrink.

If you use your nose as an anchor point for the string it may change your draw length if you lie a lot because your nose will grow too much.

Flexibility in the shoulders, wrists and back can all affect draw length and as we get older we generally loose flexibility.
