I went on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Only saw a doe but was great hunting in the cold weather!

It's awesome, so nice to be hunting in the real cold with a little snow on the ground. My dad took the ugliest spike I've ever seen in my life yesterday, good meat buck, these things have some real nice knockdown power. Yep sending 245gr slug downrange with 150 powder, will put the smack on one! yup, we used 250 grain hornady sabots and 100 grains of goex. Seems to be a good, accurate combo.

I didn't realize my county had a ML season this yr or I would've still been hunting.... Looks like I got a good friend who's gonna load me his ML so I can try my luck. Like Sig, I'll be after 1 of 2 bucks and that's it. Checked the cam this morning and 1 of the 2 I'm after was at my feeder at 5:58 Friday evening 
No doubt about the AR crap, just damn shame hunters don't have self control and knowledge

**POSTED LAST TUESDAY***
Today was the last day for 'Alternative Methods' (for me that's MUZZLELOADER) deer season here in Missouri. Sat thru a downpour (two matter of fact) in a ladder stand wondering if my ML would go BOOM if given the chance. Well about 1015 my question was answered- YES!!! Of my three tags only had my 'Antlerless' tag left so a doe it was. Medium size- will make EXCELLENT EATIN! Temperature was 43 degrees when I got on stand at 0650- now it is 35 with forecast of low teens by midnite.
This is only the second deer I have taken with my ML - last one over 10 years ago. Have several hogs with it
Equipment: H&R SIDEKICK 50cal, 100gr Blackhorn 209 powder, 245gr PowerBelt HP, and Fiocci 209 primer.
CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE FOR TOMORROW. INVEST IN TOMORROW BY TAKING A CHILD HUNTING OR FISHING TODAY.

Going back in am will let y'all know what I see. Taking .50 hawkin side lock open sights bought from cabellas 25 years ago as kit gun.

Well it was one of those special days too hot way to windy drug my heals got in stand late 7:45 deer all over me by 8:05 was on the phone with manager of my shop discussing business when doe came out to my left then I looked to my right there was 2 year old 8 point then out in front came three doe this was all in less than 20. Minutes. This is only proof that my old saying the best time to go hunting is when you can!
