She has been a trooper all season, early, late, cold and warm. I convinced her to pass a few young bucks, waiting on a more mature deer. Started getting pictures of this deer before Thanksgiving, and she told me that was the one, she wanted to hunt. He only showed up every few days, never when we were there. So this being our last couple of days to hunt, we decided she would take another deer if presented an opurtunity. As we sat on our first evening hunt, of the trip, we started seeing little buck after little buck walk in, but nothing she wanted. At 5:10 I see this deer coming in, I was shaking like a leaf, when I whispered your deer is heading this way. I placed her 243 out the window, she settled the crosshairs and the rest is history!

I have to wear sunglasses into the woods, because the deer would recognize me, an just surrender with their hooves up.

Great buck! She is a cutie and what a great pic. Made me smile reading your story. My youngest is 21 now and we managed her hunting the same way so I know how proud you are and how great that moment felt. Congrats to you both.

Thanks guys for all the kind words, she was so excited. Tears flowed followed by smiles and hugs. This was her 16th day in the stand morning and evening. I was proud of the effort she put in, and she earned the reward!
