Pulsar is good if you're comparing it to the new Thor HD line. The older Thors blow it away though. They just started the HD line but the older style has a good track record.

I'd go with the pulsar for sure out of those two. Only downside is it's a much larger scope and can be kind of ackward in comparison.

I'd go with the pulsar for sure out of those two. Only downside is it's a much larger scope and can be kind of ackward in comparison. It is on the larger size, but it has some of the easiest to use basic controls such as Zoom, NUC, Brightness, and Contrast and you can use them readily with gloved hands.

The Pulsar blows the doors off the older thors as well. Based on what? I hunt three to four times a week with my Thor640 2.5X & have never had a problem. The new ones are terrible. My buddy has one and it's always turns off after a couple of shots. If you like a bigger scope more power to you.

What ever you end up going with, try getting it on Sportsman's Guide and sign up for their buyers club for $39.99 so you can get it and pay it off in 4 monthly payments. They sell a lot of N/V and thermal stuff for a good price. Plus if you wait then you get emails with double discount which is the price difference between club member and non club member price times twice the discount. Also they end up giving you two $10.00 no minimum coupons when signing up. I bought my Armasight gen 2 Spear N/V rifle scope that way and saved $300.00 off the price at the time. There is a $150.00 purchase minimum to get on the 4 monthly payment program but there is no interest and they take a credit card or debit card for your order. You get it when you order it and don't have to wait till it's paid off to have it in your hands. I got a couple of firearms and hunting gear that way. Made it easier on the credit card bill lol. The only thing I didn't like about the Armasight was their IR Illuminator that mounts to the top side of the scope was not doing a good job so they told me to add a rail extender and that didn't work so well so I put it on the 45 degree rail on the front side of my Tavor to make it work right. Hope this helps you out.
