So I live next to Caddo National Grasslands I have found 2 stands so far this year. Any suggestions on what to do about this problem. And what to do with my new stands.
I shoot pigs at night, in the head. Keeps me out of the bar chasing things that cost more than thermal scopes.

Make sure your property line is clearly marked, use the purple paint. Other than that, keep gathering free stands or talk to the game warden.

It is marked with old fence that is getting replace and purple paint, and plowed and planted to the fence line of Caddo, and many posted signs. I wish they would bring me a few new feeders I have 6 or 7 stands up already lol.

That's got to be annoying with the exception of the free stands. I hope you don't have any run ins with trespassers. Unfortunately, a good fence, signs, and purple paint won't stop hunters if they don't have any morals.

I hope I missed a game camera Monday and it got pictures of me removing ladder stand with 12 gauge with steel shot, hope they take picture to Game warden then I can show my tree with large injury to prove stands location....

Stands are not supposed to be up more than 2 days on public land. If it is plowed and planted, the trespassers know.

Put sweet combination locks on the doors to the blinds with a sign on the door to call for the combination. If ots a ladder stand just go cut all the steps off of it.

I like the idea of pad locking the stand to the tree and leaving a number to call. That's just funny.

I would leave a note in a zip lock bag, tacked where the stand was and leave my number to call if they wanted their stand back. Then, if they call, once you get a name, file charges on him. After doing this several times, word will get out that you better not get caught on so and so's place!!

Put a target on the seatback, or just above the platform if there was no back, and then put a few rounds into the target.

Visit their stands on mornings after long nights of drinking and mexican food and find "alternative uses" for them.

Sounds like a yard sale waiting to happen...and use the proceeds to donate to your local VFD or Sheriff's Volunteer Patrol or 4H program.
If you are anywhere close to Lake Texoma, the local church donation program known as the The Barn in Pottsboro that benefits disaster aid for fire & storm victims in Grayson County is an example of a multi denominational cooperation that will take and sell any thing like these illegal deer stands. Just Sayin' "gifts" found on your property like this can benefit folks in need rather than the destruction of the the stuff IMO is a better use of the "resource" . Ron

Every tree you remove a stand from out a no trespassing sign with a note and your phone number on it. Sign says, This is private property to recover your stand call this number. If someone calls be nice and tell them where they can pick up the stand. Have the GW with you when you meet him.

I took their stands home with me when it happened to me. If they want it back they will have to introduce them selves! No one ever claimed them in my case. I will assume they knew it was private property.

Hey Zeb right here by you, you find anymore, I will sure take them! On serious note, I have been through that several times, except we don't border the gov woods. We even had a guy cut the chain and put his lock on the gate. Claimed he was left 10 acres by a relative and it was in the middle of our place. GW convinced other wise and we never saw him again.
