38* crisp and calm, this should be a great morning. The rut is on and this is my last morning to hunt. I have an old 9 pointer with a 24" spread on camera but no one has seen him on the hoof, I'm hoping this is my morning.

It's been incredible, 12 different bucks and one 10 pointer with a drop time.. no sign of the 9 I'm hunting tho, keeping my fingers crossed.

We are right outside Carrizo Springs I had it scored at Los Cazadores and it scored 160 even. My best Buick ever.

I have only taken culls and does off this place for the last 10 years. When I saw him with my spotting scope,
He was a good 500 yards away. He finally worked his way to within 140 yards and I could see the character he had and decided to drop a trophy. Good news is the 9 is still running and I have a tag left.
