Ran my trap the other afternoon after work. I had two in the trap so I came home and got the truck and 4 wheeler and returned. When I was there earlier there was also one on the outside of the trap. It ran into the timber when it saw me. When I returned I decide to walk in first and see if that pig was still hanging around. I came out about 90 yds from the trap and could not see any other pigs so I moved out to my box stand. Before getting to it I heard pigs just inside the timber. I decided to wait a few minutes to see if one would come out. It was no time one came out and gave me a perfect head shot. One deer and three pigs so far this season. They ranged 150-200 lbs each. Freezer is looking good.

Congratulations.

I need to set my trap back up. How do you keep deer out of it? I've been using corn soured in beer with strawberry jello mix, but the deer still go in and will trip it.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

Install a steel fence post about 30" off ground tied across the entrance to trap. To keep deer out.

My trap is only about 40 inches tall and I haven't had any get in it but there's not a lot of deer either.
