Private for me! No way I'm getting out in a boat in those winds! Last time I was in those winds I was on Arkansas river, front blew in! The scariest thing I have ever experienced!! Half way back to ramp I had excepted the fate I may die! We got there and water was glass. Mid way through hunt a front blew through like this one. Arkansas river was flowing 100,000 cubic feet sec, 30 mph sustained winds with current, equals the perfect storm! 3-4 ft waves, I just knew a wave was just gonna come over front of my bloat and under we would go! My excel 1851 wasn't what I needed! When we made it to ramp I said never again!!!! So I'll drive my truck to private hole!

It's just starting to get entertaining.
Only the third or fourth day this season that's been worth more than gas for the boat ride.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

I'm trying to fight off a cold and it was confirmed today that my dog tore his ACL (or CCL, whatever the equivalent for dogs is). I'm not going tomorrow, but I had planned on it.

14 degrees at my current location with a wind chill that's somewhere around -5 to -10.
It"s beginning to lot like a smackdown.

I'm about as happy as a pig in slop.
