Along the lines of shooting boars vs. sows, Some times it's easy to tell them apart and some times movement and sorting about by the bunch makes it more difficult to ID them. Dark doesn't help either.

Such as here's a fat saw:

and here is a young boar:

So which is this? I don't see any junk, but sure is a stout sucker:

Could be, or it could just be a crytorchid boar where the testes have failed to descend normally. In boars, cryptorchidism occurs about 0.75% of the time with studies citing 0.64-0.84% occurrence.

Sometimes it's just hard to tell, but the shoulder definition makes me think that's a boar.

It's one thing to be able to stare at a photo. It's something different when they're moving around in the dark.

I have two unwritten rules:
1.
2.

Those are good odds, I am staying with nuts chopped off and turned loose.

Maybe I'll get him some day and we'll know. I don't see many interesting ones, usually just plain black. I did get a large brown sow a couple days ago though.

No visible nipples. A sow that old would have had numerous litters unless she was sterile. Hard to tell. Junk could have been cut or not developed naturally as stated above. Body confirmation makes me lean toward bar hog.
