Anyone using the tanglefree flight series vest? Trying to decide what size to order.

Just received and returned a medium flight series vest. Not sure how the run size wise in relation to other brands. My dog (English Cocker) is 23 pounds and it was huge. Great quality, wish they made the flight series in small and X-small.

There are actually numerous advantages. Some may have others but here are my personal top 3.

Buoyancy- simply put they help the dog float which helps conserve energy. After 40+ really long swims, every bit counts.

Ice- Dogs will literally rub their chest raw breaking heavy sheet ice. Not a big deal until you ask him to do it 6 days in a row....

Safety- we hunt a lot of ranches and dairies. With cattle comes barb wire. On several occasions over the years we've finished a hunt, removed the vest, only to notice a huge cut/slice obviously caused by a errant piece of wire somewhere along the way, saving who knows how much $$ in vet bills and days on the injured reserve.

The idea that these vests are used solely for decoration or strictly for heat retention is often misplaced, primarily by those who don't hunt in an environment where they are needed or by those who are simply not educated on their advantages.

Bought one for this guy...it fits him well. I know he is not wearing it in the pictures, but wanted to let you see the size of the dog. I can't remember the size of the vest off of the top of my head, but will look this afternoon and let you know. I want to say it's an XL
