About to buy a new rifle. It's available in stainless or blued. If I'm going to have it cerakoted, does it make a difference which one I get?

If no one here has an answer to your questions, I would suggest you contact CeraKote:

http://www.cerakoteguncoatings.com/finishes/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=01%20Brand&utm_term=%2Bgun%20%2Bfinish%20%2Bcerakote&utm_content=Brand

Since stainless firearms generally cost more than blued, and it is your intention to 'Kote it, I'd say save yourself some money on the initial purchase and go with the blued version. But the CeraKote company is your best source of an answer on which the coating will adhere to the best.

No it doesn't matter. The rifle has to be media blasted before cerakote is applied. Doesn't matter which finish you get. Buy the cheaper of the two.

Thanks for the info. That's what I thought but wanted to double check.
