Anyone have any luck this season so far?
Did I miss the rut?
Never really saw any bucks chasing or tailing does.

Im seeing the rut activity wind down in navarro county. Which is good, less doe that are cycling means more bucks are out looking.

Im seeing the rut activity wind down in navarro county. Which is good, less doe that are cycling means more bucks are out looking. Gonna try my luck this weekend. If the rut is winding down do you think using doe estrogen or rattling would be counterproductive?

I've had better luck rattling during the prerut and the tail end of rut. Never had much luck during the main rut. Our doe to buck ratio is way to high due to years of not being able to take doe during rifle season. The bucks dont have to compete for doe. But when the rut first kicks off and then when its winding down less doe are in estreous which means the bucks are now competing for those few doe that are cycling.
