Good for him him. Senior year I was around 265 and played defensive end and and tight end, coach cut me to 230. I was much quicker and actually stronger. Moved to strong side linebacker and rover. When I got moving across the fields and put the hit on them it was wicked. Gained a lot of yards after the catch at tight end also.

In High school it was 5 reps of 255. Haven't seen any point in it since.

When I graduated from college I was 6'0" tall weight 180 lbs and for my last set on bench I got up to 2 plates on each side and a 25 lb, if my math is right that's 275 lbs. Could not do it right now I guarantee it, not even close and its only been 6 years.

Used to love the bench. Senior year of high school I hit 300 3 times, but never tried it again. 25 now, and haven't been on a bench in 4 years

I'm 6', 180. Lifetime max was 260, two reps about six months age, soon after my 53rd birthday. I have a great gym very close to my office and go every day on my lunch hour. Didn't achieve my goal of 1.5 x's body weight, now have changed things up. I start with body weight, 10 reps, go all the way down to an empty bar in 20 lb decrements, all the way back up. I never tried to throw that ball over them there mountains but did get back into working out about ten years ago after an accident.

315 has always been an impressive number to me with those 3 plates on each side. Always wished I could get it. Not sure where I am now but I did get 275 during a workout session (1 rep) with a spot recently. I feel stronger now than I ever have. Hopefully I can get there. I'm about 6'3" and 235lbs so those long arms haven't been nice to me when benching.

Haven't tried in several years, 340 4 times was my best.

Chest day is Wed's and I am a 10-8-6 then a 6-8-10 then fails on 4 wheels and will Max out at 4 wheels...
