Just saw that JJ posted an update to his Facebook today -- thought I'd share it here below. Looks like he's doing better! Praying for a successful recovery.
I wanted to update everyone!
THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE PRAYERS!!!!
I am currently at Parkland Hospital / UT Southwestern.
The staff here has checked me out thoroughly and have decided that I am in serious but stable condition. They have decided to schedule my surgery to be done at the UT Southwestern clinic in either Mid / Late December or first part of January.
My vital signs are normal. I just need to get surgery. After meeting with at least 12 cardiologist and surgeons they determined that I don't need sugery today or this week, but would prefer to schedule it and have it in their clinic in about 2 months.
So looks like your prayers worked! I get to duck hunt some this season and then fix the thumper!!

Prayers must have worked guys! We were leaving Golden Corral in Sherman TX around 10:00 this morning and who should be walking in? JJ and Carla! He looks great. Carla is really showing the wear with Mother, Dad, JJ and son Brandon all in and out of the hospital in the past several weeks. Get some rest and take care of your self, girl!
