We're on the border of Cottle and King and it's been real slow. Range conditions and warm weather are going to make it tough this year. In the last few years we are seeing the bigger bucks towards the end of November and first couple of weeks in December. Often they are busted up, but that's just the way it is with the weather nowadays.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Slow for us too in Hall and Briscoe counties. Several small bucks seen on the hoof but the big ones have not been seen in person or camera since 11/3.

We also hunt on the Cottle and King county line. We saw some deer movement Saturday through today, with things really heating up yesterday after that early rain. Maybe the little bit of cooler temps yesterday morning had them riled up. We haven't seen many good bucks on our cameras though. Our group put a 12 point, an 11 and a 9 on the ground, and passed up a few other decent bucks. Can't wait to go back the weekend before Thanksgiving with my son and get him on some deer.

It's still early for the Panhandle. I'll be in Hall by the beginning of the week, but Thanksgiving week is the traditional time for the Panhandle rut.

I've sat in the blinds the last 3 evenings in Collingworth and have seen the smaller bucks chasing does, but the mature bucks are still under the trees and bedded down.

We're planning to go up Saturday morning. My grandson has a playoff game in Bowie Friday night. I'm sure that it's still to early but I need to go see. Did the deer in your sig line come off of your current place?

Yes sir they did, the WT wasn't all that great I killed him the first year up there. Since we have killed some better deer, just too lazy to change the pics.

I hope we can get my grandson on a good buck the week of Thanksgiving. I'd rather see the youngsters get a good deer than to shoot one myself these days.

Our weekend in Hall pretty slow, no mature deer seen or any pics of mature deer. Any one see any anything different? Where are you in hall county? I am SE of turkey and had 3 decent muley bucks and a few WT doe come out on the wheat late yesterday evening. It has been very slow for a couple weeks. The first time my son sat in his bow stand he saw 25 WT, 8 muleys, and 50 or so pigs. Its been downhill since then.
