If I understand it right, they have to have one side unbranched correct? We have a huge deer with 4 points on one side. His left side was only one long tine with a brow tine. That has since broken off. Only has one really long tine there now. What's the verdict?

A spike has 2 antlers that don't branch. As per Antler restrictions it has to be at least one unbranched antler for the regulations but not necessarily calling it a spike.

If you have game cam photos showing this, I think your good to shoot the deer. Anyone can shoot a deer, break some things off and then call it "one un-branched antler" If you have gamecam proof you're good to go. Save the gamecam pictures !!

Did you answer my question? Yes he is legal to shoot in an AR county. As long as there is nothing left from the broken tines that would make past 1" resulting in a point.
