I am trying to decide whether to get MOJO Outdoors Blue Wing Teal Motion Duck Decoy or Mojo Outdoors Gadwall Decoy. I read that the bwt is more versatile in that it can attract many different ducks. What do you guys think?

I use both. Teal decoys are super effective on teal in early season. They will almost try to land on them. For big duck mojo seem to be hit or miss. Some days they love them some days not so much. If the first flocks flare take them down. If it's not windy always keep a jerk cord handy...

Any mojo is good as long as you've got a remote on/off... some days it doesn't matter, they may want 8 mojo's and other days they'll only want a jerk string and swimmers... but if im running a big spread of mojo's, they'll all be on remotes. you can order remotes fairly cheap online, instead of buying them from mojo.

Fairly new hunter here. What is the purpose of the remote and why would I need them?

Easier to cut your mojo on and off depending on what the birds are doing that day instead of having to walk out there and turn it off and bring it back. All of my mojos have a remote to them, but 90% of the time if I have a chance to pull it the days they are flaring thats what I will do.
Look into a wonderduck...... They come with wings, add motion to the water but don't have to put the wings on cloudy days or if the birds aren't working mojo's. Bought one two years ago and now own 4 of them. I hardly ever run a mojo now unless it is teal season

Also a remote can help with letting your mojo run till the birds get close then shutting it off making wary birds able to commit

I put timers in my wonder ducks and they really like them last year.

With the first one I tried the 5 second on/off timer but then got the gadwall with the random timer. I like that one a whole lot better for the type of hunting I have
