On average, how fast do you see hogs hitting bait? I am talking about sour corn and/or sow in heat scents. Do you think it spooks them initially before they come to the bait?

doesnt spook em, sometimes it can take a few min, sometimes a few hours, and sometimes a few ddays. Basically i cant tell u a definitive answer to that question. I guess on avg i would say that it can take only a few hours, usually that night if u set it out in the afternoon. Ive seen them come out less than 2 hours after putting out creep feed. (thats the best bait if u ask me). Hogs are not predictable creatures IMHO its just a toss up. sometimes u win sometimes u dont.

If they see and smell you putting it out it may take a couple nights. If they do not see you it just depends on how close by they are. Sometimes you can bait out and they will be hiding less than 100 yards away...and come out right after dark.
I guess a lot depends on how many hogs are in the area and how hungry they are.

Usually a few nights. Depends on what bait you use and if they are used to that area already. They love soured corn. That will bring them in faster. But it can take awhile to sour corn.

In my professional opinion it is about 13mph!!

sometime I set hog hole and it will take 2-3 days other times I'll come back the next morning and it will be tore up. Last night they hit the feeder right after it went off. and now 3 out of the 20+ that came in are no longer a problem

I've had them come in on a gut pile while I was still washing my hands.

i've had them take as long as 7-8 days hogs just wasnt in that area at the time they usually have a 15-20 range, so it could take a few days to bring them in i dont use sour corn-1 cause deer like it and a deer in a 4x8 trap is hell to get out and 2 cows like it diesel corn all the way
